Carly has been practicing meditation for over 20 years. She is excited to bring her experience and take on mindful living. She loves sharing her passion for self-care through meditation, reiki, therapeutic yoga & wellness workshops. It is her honor and privilege to be able to serve women in their own self-care journey. 

Carla's Journey


Her story

In my early twenties, I began exploring a holistic approach to well-being. I found myself in a local wellness shop, buying herbs, vitamins, teas, and natural remedies. More importantly, I began connecting with like-minded people who introduced me to meditation and the idea that healing could be more than just physical.

Then, in 2002, everything changed.

I was involved in a severe car accident when another driver hit me head-on. My car flipped upside down and came to rest half hanging over a bridge wall, suspended above a dry ravine, with a semi-truck barreling toward me from behind. The truck driver later said it felt as though he had hit a brick wall.

I was unconscious at first. When I came to, I unbuckled my seatbelt and slid out through the window while hanging upside down. I was airlifted to a major hospital with two broken legs, a broken ankle, and a fractured clavicle. My body was completely broken. My chest was deeply bruised—so much so it resembled a rotting banana.

After four surgeries, five ambulance rides, and weeks upon weeks of physical therapy, I slowly began to heal. At one point, I was taking up to twelve Percocet a day, along with blood thinners and muscle relaxers. Despite everything, I was determined to drive again—and even more determined to reclaim my body without relying on medication.

That’s when meditation, breathwork, relaxation techniques, and chair yoga truly became lifelines. These practices helped reduce my pain, calm my nervous system, and ease the PTSD that followed the accident. They reminded me that healing was not just about fixing what was broken, but learning how to feel safe in my body again.

In December of 2014, I took a leap of faith and started a meditation company. What began as meditation soon expanded into workshops, classes, and events. I collaborated with other teachers and practitioners, all of us working together to support others on their own wellness journeys.

In 2018, Mindfully Carly was born.

Today, Mindfully Carly is a space rooted in compassion, accessibility, and empowerment. I am a mindfulness advocate, meditation teacher, gentle and subtle yoga instructor, and Reiki Master. I specialize in adaptive and modified yoga—meeting each client and class exactly where they are. I use props, offer supportive variations, and provide options that make yoga approachable while still allowing room for growth.

My classes are designed to be deeply relaxing and accessible for all levels and abilities. I believe mindfulness—no matter the form you choose—is one of the most powerful ways to support the mind, body, and spirit. Healing is not one-size-fits-all. It’s personal, gentle, and deeply human.

And I am honored to walk that path with others.

Carla is the heart and soul behind Mindfully Carly, a nurturing space for women seeking greater peace, clarity, and balance in their lives. With more than two decades of personal meditation experience, Carly offers a unique blend of mindfulness, subtle yoga, Reiki, and holistic wellness practices that help her clients reconnect with their inner wisdom.
Her approach is gentle yet empowering- grounded in the belief that true transformation begins with awareness and self-compassion.

Often referred to as “yogic sleep,” this guided meditation practice fosters deep relaxation and healing by guiding you into a state between wakefulness and sleep. It supports stress reduction, enhances mental clarity, and helps restore a sense of inner balance and calm.

Reiki with mindfully carly


Think of Reiki as a reset button for your mind and body. While massage focuses on the muscles, Reiki focuses on your energy—helping you restore balance from the inside out.

​What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle, energy-based practice that promotes balance, relaxation, and overall well-being. Unlike massage, Reiki does not involve deep pressure or muscle work—it’s performed with light touch or hands placed just above the body.


What to Expect in a Session
You’ll remain fully clothed and rest comfortably on a massage table.
Your practitioner will use calming hand placements to help guide energy flow and encourage deep relaxation.
Many clients describe feeling warmth, tingling, or a soothing wave of calm throughout the body.
Sessions can reduce stress, quiet the mind, and leave you feeling lighter, refreshed, and more centered.
