Our Story
Rise & Shine Wellness was inspired by our founder Kate. Over the years she has come to learn how important it is to be aware of all the different ways we put stress on our bodies. Between her personal journey and observing past generations in her family, she was motivated to focus her energy on helping the community learn how to achieve a more relaxing, less stressful lifestyle.
With 14 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, 9 years as a certified wellness coach, and newly certified as a personal trainer as of 2024, Kate believes there are a variety of daily stressors in life that can hold us back from rising with ease and shining from within to live our best life.
From sleeping to working, and even our hobbies, we are in constant motion.
The connection between movements, thoughts, and feelings can play an important role when it comes to managing stress. On a physical level, our body is made to move freely and without restriction. Mentally, our thoughts and behaviors control our daily habits. Our emotions trigger sensations in our bodies that put us into a state of survival (or relaxation) depending on how stressed we are.
These stressors are all intertwined affecting how our bodies function, our minds process, and our emotions react. This is why we believe that any (or all) of these stressors can hold us back from achieving a happy healthy lifestyle.
